DearAsshole.NET is an online guestbook application that allows users to anonymously vent, rant, and rave about unidentified annoying people (i.e. assholes). The purpose of the website is to provide an outlet for people to relieve stress and release emotions that would otherwise be bottled up or bitched to a select group of friends.
With DearAsshole.NET, you can bitch to the world.
Since its inception, DearAsshole.NET has received over 80,000 hits from the following countries: United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, Bulgaria, Australia, South Africa, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Russia, Egypt, Japan, Korea, France, Brazil, India, China, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Romania, Pakistan, Belgium, Spain, Indonesia, Ireland, Mexico, and more. There are currently over 200 submissions and more are added each day.
User submissions typically start with the heading, "Dear Asshole," and are written in 500 characters or less. Freedom of speech is highly respected, however, submissions that contain spam or any personally identifying information will be deleted.
How Did this Website Come About?
DearAsshole.NET was randomly inspired by four Georgia State University students, and came about due to a Facebook conversation in someone's status update.
